I don't know about you, but I sure am glad to see the back end of winter. The dark, cold dreary day's, pitch black early evening's and icicles hanging from my dribbling nose and running eyes. The lakes have defrosted and there's evidence of more fish movement than previous months as can be seen with this lovely 32lb Common caught on carple steamers by Lee Fletcher.
I managed to get a five hour session in on my local lake just recently with the fast becoming infamous Shrimp in Hot Chilli Sauce Steamers, which until now have only been available to field testers. Well, good news is, they're now ready for you and you can buy them here they're selling like hot cakes already! I caught eight carp averaging mid-double no pre-baiting, no freebies, they were straight on them, ok no nice specimens for me yet but they'll come. The carp stuffed their faces like there was no tomorrow little do they know they're going to be seeing a lot more of them as from today.
